Matchgirl is a refugee in Calais' Jungle. She dreams of better times – playing herself on stage. A response to the refugee crisis inspired by the 1910 Dreadnought Hoax, when Virginia Woolf boarded the British naval flagship posing as Abyssinian royalty. Follow Matchgirl and pirate queen Virginia as they sail the seas, rescuing children from drowning. 'OwlTime' is the name Woolf gave to dusk – the time when psychology research suggests we are most vulnerable and honest. Featuring Nia Kova ('Quite hilarious' Lucien Morgan), with music by award-winning Alexandra Kremakova, sand art by Jayson Singh, and direction by Charlie Wiseman.
